Weekend update on North Beach renourishment: Limited access on Sunday, work recommences on Monday

As of earlier this afternoon, heavy equipment progressed to the northern most part of Marker 36. While the sand south of their current position is already laid, more grading and sloping work must continue along the entire north beach area and should be accomplished on Monday.

This means that there will be no North Beach services (which include chair and cabana service) until Tuesday due to scheduled work recommencing on Monday, December 5. However, limited access will be granted for members who choose to walk along the beach on Sunday while no work activity is performed. Again, please note that beach access will be closed again on Monday when work recommences at North Beach.

The Foundation will keep members abreast of any new updates. We will continue to chart progress and hope to give an update by Monday afternoon.

Please note that beachgoers can still take advantage of South Beach and Marker 36 restaurant. Tram operations to the north will also remain in place.

Please stay tuned to the Foundation website at www.pelicanbay.org and future email notifications.
